Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels delivers nutritious hot & frozen meals to those who are unable to cook for themselves. In 2018 this program provided 10,454 hot meals, 5597 frozen entrees, 1243 soups, 212 salads, 110 desserts and 10 sides.
Meals On Wheels is always looking for new volunteers. To volunteer, contact the Meals On Wheels office and ask to speak with the manager, Judy Jefferies. |
Breakfast Learning Club
The Breakfast Learning Club has been providing nutritious breakfasts for 3 elementary schools in Penticton since 2011. Currently they have 62 volunteers and a combined total of 18,068 breakfasts have been served at Queen’s Park, Columbia and West Bench Schools.

The Care Closet
The Care Closet carries a selection of gently used items for purchase with proceeds going to the Penticton Regional Hospital. There are 45 volunteers working at the Care Closet. The Care Closet is owned in partnership with the South Okanagan Similkimeen Medical Foundation and Penticton and District Hospice Society and receive profit sharing funds quarterly.
