FundraisingThe Auxiliary to the Penticton Regional Hospital Society holds several fundraising events throughout the year to help fulfil their mandate.
Emergency Trauma Room
Now that the Penticton Hospital Auxiliary has completed its $250,000 pledge to the David E. Kampe Tower we are ready to move on to a new project. After the Tower is officially opened attention will be turning to the renovation of the Emergency Room area. Our Auxiliary has pledged to donate $100,000 for a Trauma Room in Emergency. We have begun working on accomplishing this goal by making a donation of $40,110.57 to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation on March 13. David E. Kampe Tower
The Auxiliary to the Penticton Regional Hospital Society completed their pledge for the purchase of equipment for the David E. Kampe Tower in 2018. Our members, along with many volunteers, have done huge fundraisers to not only earn this money to fulfill this pledge, but do it ahead of schedule! Staff 50/50
We sponsor the Staff 50/50 draw for employees of Interior Health in Penticton. Every two weeks there is a happy employee who has a little extra money for the weekend and the Auxiliary receives funds which are contributed to the Foundation. Christmas Bake Sale
During the Hospital Gift Shop holiday sale, we work in cooperation with the Gift Shop volunteers to provide wonderful baked treats to staff and shoppers. All funds go towards patient comforts for Penticton Regional Hospital. Take an Old Bag to Tea
This popular, slightly “Tongue in Cheek” Fund Raiser ” Fashion show & Tea, held at the Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre, offers guests a afternoon of Fun and entertainment, a Silent Auction, 50/50 draw surprise activities and showcases fashions from local businesses. WestJet Raffle
Working with WestJet we hold a raffle: Tickets for 2 anywhere WestJet Flies! This is the third year we are having this event. We thank WestJet for supporting our fundraising efforts. Our final big fundraising event of the year is the Gift Wrapping Booth at Cherry Lane Shopping Centre. Volunteers are present during mall hours for the month of December to wrap Christmas gifts for busy shoppers. All Auxiliary members, as well as others from the community, volunteer to help with this event. All funds go towards patient comforts for Penticton Regional Hospital. |
AccomplishmentsCanadian Mental Health Association
The Penticton Hospital Auxiliary made a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association for their new water system at Unity House, as well as an additional donation later in the year so they could purchase winter tires for their van.
